Crusade No. 6

GPP crusade theme No. 6 is about what we collect! I think we collage lovers are all packrats, so what do we NOT collect?🙂 Since I’ve always loved cooking, I automatically started collecting decorative paper napkins. Of course do I use them for meals and collage work, but I always save a few. I have them sorted by themes: botanicbotanical-napkins.jpgal, ornaments, Christmas, art, travel and various. The pics give a teeny weeny peak … Luckily I sold several of my Christmas napkins which I just had way too much of, so I now have room for more. Another obsession are decorative papers. Since my last move I keep them rolled up in plastic containers and store them in the basement. In Germany we sell the sheets as wrapping paper and Munich was paper heaven (Luxembourg just has nothing)!! My favorite papers are some of those wrapping papers, washi papers I bought in Japan and handprinted papers I bought in Venice. Since creative time is scarcetaperolls.jpg these days, I made a quick straight collage with scraps from papers I have in my scrap drawer. And Audrey had to go on it since I adore here and have several books of her, just like Frida. There’s also a framed canvas print of Audrey on my bedroom wall. I really don’t need more papers, but I always keep my eyes open, just in case … You have to check out Michelle’s fabulous collections of hands and tape. Funny enough, I bought the same cool skull tape (and others) at a 100 Yen (dollar) store in Yokohama and have been treasuring it ever since since I haven’t seen anything comparable here.

  1. Belinda – love seeing your collections. You are right….what DON’T we collect? Fun to hear about your paper napkins….and love that you have skull tape and other designs too. It would be an endless task to record all our favorite things, but it’ cool to see this small fraction of yours. Thanks for taking the time – to play along, and share.

I wish I could read German.

Love your stuff. You are so inspiring.

  3. Belinda,
Too cool! Love your layout! I too, collect paper napkins. I have a whole drawer of them. I love to buy them during the holidays, pull a few out to use and hoard the rest! We have a cool little store here that has the coolest napkins, all designs! I always spend way too much money when I go! Audrey was so beautiful, she definately fits in nicely with your napkins!

  4. Oh Belinda, these pages are GREAT!!! It is so funny because I was thinking the same thing…I have SO MUCH PAPER that I think you could say I am a paper collector!!! Oh, and I love Audrey too! I even have a Breakfast At Tiffany’s doll with extra outfits!

    Nicole

  7. BELINDA, your collections of napkins and sweet papers etc. is great! I am with you, for art’s sake I feel like it is ok to save eeeverything and sometimes I really dislike that about myself! I want to be a neater , cleaner, more organized person when it comes to that! So I plan to try that soon! Hehehehe! Hugs,Patti

  17. Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but
I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with
hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
