Patty will wissen, woran ich bei der Zahl DREI für die neue MS-Herausforderung denke. HA! an die drei Baumanhänger, gemacht für meinen diesjährigen Gothic Weihnachtsbaum, und einige werden noch folgen. Halloween ist an allem Schuld und mir gefällt total die Lila-Schwarz-Kombi. UND natürlich die Stampotique/Penney-TorrenteMotive. Hab letzten Monat diese lila Glaskugeln im hiesigen Auchan (Supermarkt) gefunden und mag total die samtigen Ornamente drauf. Wollte meine vergangenen schwarzen Barokteile mit Lila aufpeppen. Macht VOLL Spaß muß ich sagen. Allerdings weiß ich auch, dass ich mir eine Bernina kaufen werde, meine olle Singer stellt meine Geduld mehr als auf die Probe! Wohnzimmertisch ist nun umfunktioniert zu einem Mal- und Nähtisch. This has been a tough one and at first I thought I wouldn’t play in this month’s GPP crusade What’s your sign. Nobody came to my mind with a specific sign. But then I thought how about making a journal page about a sign or two I love and keep using? First thing was FLOWERS that came to my mind. Really treasure and enjoy them, every single day. My 12 hole Dr. Martens with the red roses embroidery look like a cool tattoo and I just love wearing them. My favorite boots and winter accessory. And somehow the right side evolved - SKULLS. Just went to an awesome Shinedown concert the other night and the skull reminds me of my beloved rock music. Twisted the challenge a bit, but am happy with my journal spread.
Das war diesmal eine schwierige GPP crusade Was ist Dein Zeichen und dachte, ich könnte nicht mitmachen. Kenne niemand, der ein eigenes Zeichen hat, ich selbst auch nicht. Doch dann dachte ich, warum machst Du keinen Journaleintrag darüber, was mir gefällt. Denn sofort fielen mir BLUMEN ein. Mag total gerne meine 12-Loch Dr. Martens mit den roten Rosen-Stickereien. Sieht aus wie ein cooles Tattoo und trag sie sehr gerne, total bequem sind sie. Meine liebsten Stiefel und Winteraccessoire. Irgendwie kam die echte Seite automatisch – TOTENKÖPFE. War gerade auf einem tollen Shinedown -Konzert und der Totenkopf erinnert mich an meine geliebte Rockmusik. Hab die Herausforderung etwas variiert, bin aber total froh mit meiner Doppelseite.

Isn’t life more fun when things coincidentally fit together? November 11 at 11.11 am marks the beginning of carnival in Germany. A perfect day to start a Zettiologychallenge on the WednesdayStamper blog. And a good opportunity for me to finish my journal spread about the Bad Aibling retreat Manja so beautifully organized at Karola’s hotel. Karola always spoils us there and I had a wonderful time. Every participant willingly shares techniques, inspiration, thoughts, warmth … and a glass of Rotkäppchen! And I dig the wellness area, need to hang out there every time.
Ist schon toll, wenn Dinge zufällig aufeinanderfallen, oder? Am 11.11. beginnt ja um 11.11 Uhr in Deutschland Fastnacht. Ein idealer Tag, eine Zettiology -Herausforderung auf dem Mittwochstemplerblog zu starten. Und der ideale Anlaß, meine Doppelseite über das lange Wochenende in Bad Aibling fertigzustellen, den Manja so prima in Karola’s Hotel organisiert hat. Karola verwöhnt uns immer und ich hatte eine wunderschöne Zeit. Jede Teilnehmerin teile gerne Techniken, Inspirationen, Gedanken, Wärme … und ein Gläschen! Und ich stehe auch total auf den Wellnessbereich, wie könnte ich mir den entgehen lassen.
I love my Javana Texi Mäx opaque T-shirt makers. Unfortunately they only come with a regular tip, but they are so opaque and write beautifully over paper and my acrylic paint. Well worth the investment.
Bin begeistert von meinen Javana Texi Mäx opak T-shirt-Stiften. Es gibt sie leider nur in einer normalen Breite, doch die Dinger schreiben so blickdich klasse auf Papier und meiner Acrylfarbe. Anschaffung lohnte sich!

Thought I’d use the funky collage gals from Teesha Moore doing the Harajuku Style for this week’s WS Asia challenge. Gave them new heads though and used a Stampotique stamp for one. These girls fit perfectly the challenge and my journaling about the fun long weekend I spent end of October with gals from the Munich stamping group going definitely mixed-media in Bad Aibling. Dachte mir, dass ich die coolen Collage-Mädels im Harajuku-Stil von Teesha Moore für Asia-MS-Herausforderung diese Woche verwende. Hab ihnen allerdings neue Gesichter gegeben, für eins hab ich einen Stampotiquestempel verwendet. Die Mädels passen prima zur Herausforderung und und meinen Journalseiten über ein tolles laaanges Wochenende mit einigen Münchner Stammtischmädels, das wir Ende Oktober mal wieder in Bad Aibling verbrachten.

Harajuku is a train station in Tokyo. Harajuku style today describes a fashion style seen from across the railway tracks from Harajuku station to Yoyogi Park. Tokyo’s teenagers wear everything from British street punk fashion of the 70’s, goth and many other ethnic and trendy fashions from around the globe. Harajuku ist ein Bahnhof in Tokio. Harajuku-Stil beschreibt heute eine Mode, die man dort sieht, von den Bahngleisen des Harajuku Bahnhofs bis zum Yoyogi Park. Tokio’s Teenagers zeigen alles, vom Britischen Straßenpunk der 70′er, Goths und viele andere ethnische und trendy Mode vom ganzen Globus.

A tale of dark Halloweenish Burtonesque Haute Couture is to be published by Harpers Bazaar in anticipation of theTim Burton Retrospectiveshowing at New York’s MoMa from 22 November 20o9 thru 26 April 2010. I suppose everybody is deliciously looking forward to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderlandmovie to be released world-wide on 5 March 2010 (mark your calendars!). Tim Walker’s photographs are eerie enchanting, the perfect motives for my GPP crusade post – Come over to the dark side! Made a dark journal spread – left is “The new Black Alice” and “Waiting for Tim Burton“. The journaling on the right side was done with a purple paint pen and doesn’t show on the scan. Thanks Michelle for yet another cool challenge. Right up my alley!
Die Geschichte von düsterer halloweenischer Burtonesque Haute Couture wird demnächst im Harpers Bazaar in freudiger Erwartung von Tim Burton Retrospective veröffentlicht (hoffentlich auch in Deutschland!!), die in New York’s MoMa vom 22. November 20o9 bis 26. April 2010 läuft. Ich vermute, jeder freut sich auf Tim Burton’s Alice im Wonderland-Film , der weltweit am 5. March 2010 anlaufen wird (im Kalender vormerken!). Tim Walker’s Photographien sind schaurig verzaubernd, ideal für meinen GPP crusade Beitrag – Komm rüber auf die düstere Seite! Hab eine Doppelseite in meinem Journal gemacht. Links ist ”The new Black Alice” und rechts “Warten auf Tim Burton“. Mein Text auf der rechten Seite hab ich mit einem lila Acrylschreiber geschrieben, aber sieht man nicht auf dem Scan. Cote d’Or’s Dark Chocolate with whole hazelnuts (from Belgium) is my favorite chocolate. It is most delicious and the whole nuts taste sensational. Couldn’t help but alter the bar since it conveniently comes in a cardstock box. Perfect for recycling and refilling haha. I confess, I’m a chocoholic. Below is the original bar, altered for the new CHOCOLATEWS challenge. You might recognize my fave damask stamp in the background. Have you ever tried the divine Chokotoff, also from Cote d’Or? Yum!
Cote d’Or’s Dunkle Schokolade mit ganzen Haselnüssen (aus Belgien) ist meine Lieblingsschokolade. Einfach nur köstloich und die ganzen Nüsse schmecken sensationell. Kam nicht umhin, die praktische Kartonverpackung zu gestalten. Ideal zum Recyclen und Nachfüllen haha Ich gestehe, ich bin ein Chocoholic. Dadrunter ist die Originaltafel, geändert für die neue SCHOKOLADE-MS-Herausforderung. Du erkennst sicherlich meinen Lieblingsdamaskstempel im Hintergrund. Been in a ghouly and silly mood for weeks after seeing the musical WICKEDwhile in London in August which by the way is JUST AWESOME!!! Couldn’t resist joining a Hauntingly Halloweenfest A Fancicul Twist is hosting in Blogland today. Set up my Halloween decoration after getting back from Portland. I was so surprised to find stylish and cool Halloween deco from Martha Stewart. And thought I’d get out my digi beginner knowledge and added a chanedlier here, spider webs there, bats here … if it just didn’t take so long. But I certainly had fun. Haven’t really done more than deco so far, but paint will follow eventually.
Bin seit Wochen in einer makabren und verrückten Stimmung, seit ich im August in London das Musical WICKEDgesehen hab, das so nebenbei einfach nur SUPER ist!!! Mußte also das Halloweenfest, von A Fancicul Twist heute im Blogland veranstaltet. Gleich als ich von Portland zurückkam hab ich meine Halloweendeko rausgekramt und Neues aufgestellt. War angenehm überrascht zu sehen, wie cool und stylich manche Halloweendeko in den USA dieses Jahr ist, besonders Martha Stewart hat sich ins Zeug gelegt. Und hab mal wieder etwas digital gearbeite und hier einen Kronleuchter, da eine Spinne, da eine Fledermaus …. angefügt, würde alles nicht so lange dauern. Auf jeden Fall hatte ich Spass. Mehr als Deko hab ich leider noch nicht gemacht gekommen. Aber kommt noch.

Even Wilton is going contempo and I couldn’t resist this skull cupcake stand, way cool. No time for making cupcakes, so I offerdarkHershey kisses, and I’m blowing one right at ya!
Sogar die Firma Wilton (bekannt für traditionelles Kuchenzubehör u.a.) hat zeitgenössisches und ich konnte diesem Totenkopf-Muffinständer nicht widertehen, viel zu cool! Anstelle Muffins, hab ich ihn erstmals mit Hershey-Schokoküssen in Zartbitter (und deshalb lila) ausgestattet. Hier ist ein dunkler Kuss für Dich!
A journal page made for the new WS “Keys” challenge. Inspired by some cool pink/red/black wrapping paper and I suppose mingled with a bit of Halloween. Printed the cut out key also onto the background in pink and red. Kind of hard to see. Eine Journalseite gemacht für die neue MS-Schlüssel-Herausforderng. Inspiriert von coolen pink/rot/schwarzen Geschenkpapier und ich denke ein bissl Halloween ist auch dabei. Hab den ausgeschnittenen Schlüssel auch auf dem Hintergrund in Pink und Rod abgedruckt, ist nur noch schwer zu erkennen.
And speaking of keys … check out the cool cover of the upcoming new CREED album Full Circle. Yes, they are back together, so many reunions and new album releases… Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, I DIG IT! Lots of keys on the cool cover. Sounds rocking good, CD available as of October 30! Mine is preordered. And I hope they will be touring soon. Already got tickets for Shinedown, Alice in Chains and Nickelback.
Two silver pendants (wannabe earrings :) ) made from PMC (Precious Metal Clay) for the new WS challenge Double Trouble. Used an Acey Deucy stamp for printing. Just got back from Art & Soul in Portland and where I took a workshop with the lovely Lisa Call. She’s such a sweetheart and you gotta love what she does. My local craft and art supply shop Bastelkiste carries Art Clay (similar to PMC, just a different competing company). This has been great fun and I’m certain I will eventually make more silver things since I enjoy working with clay. Below is a 3d house pendant I made … with lots of patience and good will since pretty much everything that could go wrong from beginning to end happened to me! But I made it, even if I was the last one to finish haha It was a wonderful and fun class, anytime again with Lisa!!
Zwei Silberanhänger (werdenmal Ohrringe ) gemacht aus PMC (Precious Metal clay) für die neue MS-Herausforderung Doppelt Gemoppelt. Hab einen Acey Deucy Stempel für den Druck verwerndet. Bin gerade zurück von Art & Soul in Portland wo ich einen Workshop mit der lieben Lisa Call gemacht habe. Sie ist eine ganz Liebe und Dir muss einfach gefallen, was sie macht. Mein örtlicher Bastel- und Kunstzubehörladen Bastelkiste führt Art Clay (ähnlich wie PMC, nur eine andere wetteifernde Firma. Es hatte total viel Spass gemacht und ich bin mir sicher, dass noch mehr Silberteile dazukommen werden, da ich gerne mit einer Knetmasse arbeite. Oben ist auch ein 3d-Haus-Anhänger den ich gemacht habe … mir viel Geduld und gutem Willen, da mir so ziehmlich alles schief ging vom Anfang bis zum Ende, was schief gehen konnte! Doch ich hab’s geschaffe, auch wenn ich als letzte fertig wurde haha Es war eine tolle und lustige Klasse, jederzeit gerne wieder mit Lisa!!
