Sewlicious Postcard Project

How about having a fabric project with some nice and creative friends? That’s what I thought back in 2009 once we set a date for our first Fabric Retreat in Bavaria. And most of them girlz participated. I chose the postcard size since it’s easy and familiar. Just look at the beauty I got – from fabric beginners to fabric pro’s – we all gave the postcard a try. Then at our second retreat in 2010, I made the cover and assembled them all into a book. Wie wär’s, mit einem Stoffprojekt einigen netten Kreativfreundinnen? Das dachte ich mir 2009, nachdem wir das Datum für unser erstes Stofftreffen in Bad Aibling/Bayern festgelegt hatten. Und die meisten Mädels machten sogar mit beim Tausch. Der Einfachheit und Bekanntheihalber hab ich das Postkartenformat gewählt. Schau Dir nur mein Prachtstück an. Que diriez-vous d’avoir un projet de tissus avec quelques amies sympa et créative? C’est ce que je pensais en 2009 une fois qu’on avait fixé la date pour notre premier rencontre de tissu en Bavière. Et la plupart des filles ont participé. J’ai choisi le format d’une carte postale, car il est facile et familier. Il suffit de regarder le trésor que j’ai crée avec. Puis lors de notre deuxième retraite en 2010, j’ai fait la couverture et assemblé toutes dans un livre. Grand merci à Stampington pour publier quatre des cartes postales dans Somerset Sew Winter 2012 (hiver 2012). Et ne pas oublier de cliquer sur mes liens des amies et dites avec moi “Félicitations d’etre publié!” Un article dans un numéro fabuleux. J’adore le mélange des différents styles, des projets … et les couleurs! Du colorié via shappy chic au vintage … C’est tout là-dedans. Ne manquez pas l’art de tissu fabuleux de Mizz Patti. My first contribution for  Countdown to Halloween 2011, yep, being a Cryptkeeper once again. Daniel  Torente’s stamps (from Stampotique) are simply the best. Had to use one of my first new Dylusions stamp for the top border as well.  One advice: Close spray bottles immediately after use, especially black, to avoid unwanted stains on your page! Stay tuned to find out what happens to Ron and Mimi…

Mein erster Beitrag für  Countdown to Halloween 2011, yep, bin wieder ein Cryptkeeper. Daniel  Torente’s Stempelchen (von Stampotique, in Deutschland via Creavil) sind da einfach die Besten. Einer meiner ersten Dylusion-Stempel (in Deutschland via Stempeloase) wurde auch gleich eingeweiht.  Ein Tipp: Sprühflaschen immer gleich verschließen, besonders wenn es Schwarz ist. Sonst gibt’s so Flecken wie bei mir . Komm wieder um herauszufinden, was mit Ron und Mimi passiert…

Decorative yarn bombing meets Oktoberfest

About 2 years ago while browsing through London’s Victoria & Albert Museum shop I discovered the book “Yarn bombing“. Something I had never heard of nor seen before. Check out their site Yarnboming. Urban graffiti art made with knitted or crochet art, also known as guerilla knitting. It’s cool and oh so fun! Inspired by this incredible decorative wooly art I  thought I’d “yarnbomb” the name plate on my office door. OK, not wild graffiti style,  but since I work at a political institution, it  needed to be moderate. Received lots of compliments. It’s all Patti’s fault that I’m posting this! Look at the real guerilla art she has spotted. And you gotta click on over to Hermine, no one will ever miss her house again! So cool and fabulous. Found this yummy Oktoberfest heart, couldn’t resist adding this seasonal bit.

Vor gut 2 Jahren hab ich im Musemusshop des Victoria & Albert-Museums in London das Buch “Yarn bombing“  entdeckt.  Hatte bis dato weder davon gehört geschweige denn gesehen. Es gibt sogar eine eigene Seite Yarnboming. Urban Graffiti Art, gemacht aus gestrickter bzw. gehäkelter Wolle, auch bekannt als  guerilla knitting (GuerillaStricken). Einfach nur cool und witzig! Inspiriert von dieser unglaublich dekorativen Wollkunst hab ich dann auch das Namensschild an meiner Bürotür “geyarnbombed”. OK, wilder Graffitistil durfte es dann doch nicht sein, da ich in einer politischen Institution arbeite, es mußte also etwas moderater sein, damit es hängen bleiben kann. Hab schon viele Komplimente dafür bekommen. Dass ich es einstelle ich Patti’s  Schuld! Schau mal, was für coole Guerilla Wollkunst sie in natura gesehen hat. Und dann mußt Du gleich weiter zu Hermine klicken, ihr Haus wird niemand mehr übersehen! So was von cool und einfach nur klasse. Fand dieses Oktoberfest-Lebkuchenherz und mußte es einfach anhängen!

 Il y a presque 2 ans que j’ai découvert le livre ”Yarn bombing” dans le magasin du musée  Victoria & Albert à Londres. Je n’avais jamais entendu de cela ni vu. Ils ont meme leur propre site Yarnboming. De l’art ubain de graffiti réalisé avec de la laine tricoté ou crocheté, on l’appele aussi guerilla knitting (tricotage de guerilla). C’est trop cool et gaie! Inspiré par cet art décorative en laine je me suis crocheté au début de l’année prochaine ceci pour décorer la plaque avec nom de mon bureau (au travail). OK, pas de graffiti  hétéroclite comme je travaille dans une institution politique je devrait etre sage.  J’ai recu plein de compliments. C’est la faute de Patti  que je te montre ceci. Tu dois cliquer sur son blog pour voir l’art de guerilla qu’elle a vu en réalité, trop cool! Et just après il faut abolusment cliquer sur le blog de  Hermine pour voir qu’on ne va plus manquer sa maison. Trop cool! J’ai trouvé ce coeur de pain d’épices fêtant l’Oktoberfest à Munich!

Dress it up!

Kaffe Fassett Fabrics … you know how much I love them. Here’s fabric pendant I made. Surprised to see Spykee, one of my favorite Stampotique/Torrente  stamps? Just love the versatility of rubberstamps. Had to adorn my bag with a fabric tassel (below) … same image with beads and charming danglies. Fits perfectly the farewell theme for the Wednesday Stamper blog, we’re wrapping it up after 5 stampalicious years! So for one last time it’s “at least one rubberstamp” over there. Join us and show blogland what can be done with at least one stampalicious rubberstamp!

Kaffe Fassett Stoffe … Du weißt, wie sehr ich sie liebe. Hier ist ein Stoffanhänger von mir. Überrascht, Spykee zu sehen, ist halt einer meiner Lieblingsstempel von Stampotique/Torrente? Ich liebe einfach die vielfältige Einsetzbarkeit von Stempeln. Kam nicht umhin einen Stoffanhänger für meine Tasche (unten) zu machen… gleiches Motiv mit mehr Perlen und charming Gedöns. Paßt wunderbar zum Abschiedsthema des Mittwochstemplerblogs, nach 5 stampeltastischen Jahren schließen wir die Pforten! Und so heißt es dort für ein letzten Mal “mit mind. einem Stempelchen”. Mach nochmal mit und zeige dem Blogland, was man mit mind. einem Stempelchen so alles anstellen kann. 

Les tissus de Kaffe Fassett … vous savez combien je les aime. Voici un pendentif en tissu que j’ai crée. Surpris de voir Spykee, un de mes tampons préférés Stampotique/Torrente ? J’adore la polyvalence de tampons. J’ai aussi dû décorer mon sac avec un pendantif en tissu (ci-dessous) … même image avec des perles et d’autres décos charmantes. Idéale pour le thème d’au-revoir pour le Wednesday Stamper blog, nous sommes en l’enveloppant d’après 5 formidables “stampalicious” ans ! Donc pour une dernière fois qu’il est «au moins un tampon” là-bas. Rejoignez-nous et montrer ce qu’on peut faire avec au moins un tampon !
